The Annunciation Greek Cathedral

This weekend, we visited The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Columbus, Ohio. It was amazingly beautiful.
The nave was literally convered in mosaics. We weren’t permitted to take any photos, but I managed to sneak one through a window. (You can go here to view a slideshow of photos on their site.) The dome was gorgeous! It has a beautiful icon of Christ at the center. I told my husband that I felt like I had stepped in heaven. It was just breathtaking. Photos cannot do it justice.
If you leave near Columbus, I highly recommend that you visit this Cathedral. You will be provided with a person who will explain all the aspects of the Cathedral. It was definitely worth the trip!
