Asking for Your Prayers for My Mother
Sep 6th, 2008 by michelle
We just found out that my mother has a tumor in her hip.
My mom, Dorothy, has been having severe pain in her hip for several months now. Once, the pain was so debilitating that my father had to rush her to the emergency room. My mother is a very strong woman; she has three older brothers- she is the definition of tough. For my mother to even admit she is in pain means that she is in intense pain.
Her hip has pained her several times since the trip to the ER, but the doctors thought that she had arthritis; so they prescribed some anti-inflammatory medication and pain meds. But, to play it safe, the doctor had an MRI done. That is how they found the tumor.
We do not know anything more than that. My mother will be having some xrays, a full body scan and a biopsy in the coming days/weeks, and she has appointment with a specialist on the 25th (this feels like such a long time from now!).
My mom did not want me to share this on my family blog, but I am sharing this here because I know that my dear friends who I’ve met online will be praying for my mother. I covet your prayers at this time.

We will be praying for your mother’s speedy recovery and for your family! I hope that you are doing alright.
I will add her to our family’s special intentions prayer list.
Add my prayers to those of all the others.
And see if your mother can’t see that specialist or a different one sooner than the 25th!
lots of love,
Anastasia
May our merciful God touch Dorothy and heal her completely and fully, restoring her to good health.
Lord have mercy. (3x)
Oh wow. I will definitely pray for your mom.
Oh no! Hugs and prayers to you, and prayers for your mom. I have been through cancer twice with my mom (she’s doing great, by the way) so if you need someone to vent to, cry to, a shouder to lean on, whatever, email me.
