The doctor ordered a CAT Scan for tonight.
I don’t know anything else. I’ll post again when I know more.

In case you haven’t been able to check my other blog, here is the recent update on my mom. I am going to try to start blogging on here again- I miss it too much!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today was my mom’s worst day so far.
She has severe mucositis (sores) in her mouth. Not only does her mouth [...]
The biopsy that was done on a different section of my mom’s hip came back completely normal.
This means that the leukemia is completely contained in the one spot– which doesn’t even make medical sense!
My mom meets with the top leukemia doctor on Wednesday afternoon. At that point, we should (hopefully!) know the treatment plan.
I have a hard time hugging my mom right now. I tear up every time or make a joke so that I can laugh instead of cry. I have always been close to my mom, and seeing someone you care about so deeply go through such a difficult time can be excruciating.
My mom is in [...]
The Biopsy Went Smoothly
Posted in Family, Prayer, Uncategorized on Dec 4th, 2008
Today my mom saw her oncologist, and he did another biopsy in her right hip bone. He was able to retrieve bone, bone marrow and blood samples. He said that the blood looked good. If she were in an acute stage of leukemia, her blood would be thick and hard to remove, but hers looked [...]
Her current hemoncologist will be doing another bone marrow biospy Thursday afternoon at 1:00pm which will be looking at specific genetic factors.
Then [...]
A big thank you to everyone who commented on my last post. Words cannot express how much I appreciate your prayers.
Things are going fine here. Tomorrow is the big day. My mom’s appointment is at 2:15pm. If you can, please remember to pray for her at that time. She is very nervous- and I am [...]
Sorry for my absense. We are in NY and we know the results of my mom’s biopsy.
My mom has cancer. She has a myloid sarcoma.
We are staying in town through Monday, which is the day that my mom has an appointment with the oncologist. At that point we will make some big decisions. We may [...]
The first few layers of the bone marrow biopsy looked fine, but as they got deeper down, they found lymphatic tissue, which could indicate that she has lymphoma. Now another test is being run on those cells, and we should have the results in 4-5 days from now. My mom will also need to have [...]
It has been a week since I last posted. Between being very busy and my computer dying, I didn’t get around to posting and I didn’t have any post-dated entries either.
First of all, I’d like to update on my mom. She is regaining her strength slowly. We do not know the results of her biopsy [...]
