Just because these are fun:
You are the Sense of Sight
|

You are a very observant, detail oriented person.
You are able to take in a lot of information at once.
You often see things that other people never notice.
You have a good eye for design and aesthetics.
You love to be surrounded by beauty - natural or not.
When you imagine how something should look, you see it clearly in your mind.

The results from the MRI and CAT scans are in: They both found no other tumors in her body.
These are the three possible options for what the tumor is:
- infectious process in the bone
- benign tumor
- cancerous tumor
We are praying for #2. In all cases, she will need some sort of treatment, but it is unclear exactly what at this point.
Please continue to pray for her. The biopsy will be on October 13th. Then we will know exactly what type of tumor this is and what the next steps will be. Thanks for praying with us.

You’re fun loving, romantic, and more than a little innocent. See you at the drive in!

I talked with my dad last night, and he said that the results of my Mom’s MRI showed that her shoulder and rib bones are clear. Good news! It is probably arthritis, but definitely not cancer.
Now we are waiting on the CAT scan results, which will show if there are any soft tissue tumors in the rest of her body. Then the doctor will schedule the biopsy, either in the hip or (if there are other places with tumors) somewhere with easier access. The hip tumor is in an awkward location for the biopsy. We should know more by the end of today.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. hFor the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
1 Chronicles 16:11
Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.
Nehemiah 8:10
Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
Psalm 27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 31:24
Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!
Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Psalm 59:16
But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

I was so excited when Christina posted about this today!
I have been upset for months about the number of phone books that we receive. We don’t even use them- I use the internet to look up everything.
Now you can go HERE and opt-out to stop receiving phone books. Please consider doing this! It just takes a minute to sign up. Thanks!

I really haven’t felt up to posting recently. But I did speak to my mom last night and wanted to share with you.
She had the MRI and CAT scans done yesterday. She also met with her internist, who had labs done last week. The internist said that everything with her blood work looks really good. (Usually, if there is cancer, the white blood cell count would be up, but it was not- good news!) She also said that she has seen a lot of people come in with these same types of symptoms and it turns out to be an infection in the bone- this is treatable. My mom will still definitely need to have the biopsy, which could mean surgery.
My mom will know the results of the MRI and CAT scans either later today or tomorrow. The bone specialist will then review them and determine if he wants to just schedule the biopsy immediately or have my mom come in for her scheduled appointment on Thursday and then schedule it.
As for me, I am feeling very anxious. I try to pray as much as I can, but I feel very out of control being so far away and, at this point, really not even knowing what is wrong.
Prayers are appreciated for us all.

I found a new online Orthodox Store today. It is definitely something to share with younger people.
